Terms and Reference of  St Michael’s PAC

  1. MEMBERSHIP

PAC Members will normally serve for one year at the discretion of the Parish Priest who may re-appoint Members for further terms.  The first term of office will ordinarily expire on 31st March 2016, and the Parish Priest will fill any casual vacancies, make additional appointments or co-opt members from time to time, as he deems appropriate.

  1. CHAIRMAN

The Parish Priest will act as PAC Chair and will nominate a temporary Chair for any meeting he is unable to attend.

  1. PURPOSE

The function of the PAC is to support and assist the Parish Priest on matters referred for discussion, and to take appropriate practical actions requested by him.

  1. VOTING

PAC decisions will ordinarily be arrived at by consensus, unless the Chair calls for a vote, when a simple majority will suffice.

  1. MEETING FREQUENCY

Ordinarily, meetings will be held bi-monthly unless otherwise determined by the Parish Priest.

  1. AGENDA ITEMS

Agenda items will be determined by the Parish Priest, who will consider any suggestions made by PAC Members or other Parishioners.  Ordinarily, a short financial report will be presented to each meeting.  Reports from any sub groups established will be received when considered appropriate by the Parish Priest.
